Privacy Policy

Last updated: 14 June 2026

This policy explains how Swiss Nafilo (“we”, “us”) collects and uses your personal data when you use this website, in line with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and, where it applies, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Who is responsible

Swiss Nafilo, Lausanne, Switzerland, is the data controller. For any privacy question or request, contact us at info@swissnafilo.ch.

What we collect

  • Account details — name, email, and password (stored encrypted).
  • Contact details you provide — mobile number and preferred contact channel (email, SMS, WhatsApp).
  • Booking and inquiry data — dates, guests, messages, and stay history.
  • Payment status — we receive confirmation of payment from our provider; we never see or store your full card number.
  • Basic technical data needed to run the site securely (e.g. session cookies).

Why we use it (legal basis)

  • To create and manage your account and bookings (contract).
  • To reply to your messages and send booking updates on the channel you chose (contract / your consent).
  • To take payment and prevent fraud (contract / legal duty).
  • To keep records required by law, such as accounting (legal duty).

Who we share it with

We never sell your data. We share the minimum necessary with service providers who process it on our behalf:

  • SumUp — secure card payment processing.
  • Meta (WhatsApp Business) and our email/SMS providers — to deliver the messages you opt into.
  • Our database and hosting providers — to operate the website.

Some providers may process data outside Switzerland/the EU under appropriate safeguards.

How long we keep it

We keep your data only as long as needed for the purposes above — for the life of your account and as required by Swiss accounting and legal retention rules — then delete or anonymise it.

Your rights

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, object to certain processing, ask for a copy of it, or withdraw consent at any time. Email info@swissnafilo.ch and we'll respond within the legal time limits. You may also lodge a complaint with the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

Cookies

We use only essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and the site secure. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
